Mangaluru: A video of an elephant playing football at Kateel Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple has gone viral.
The female elephant Girija aka Mahalakshmi is being trained in the game of football by its mahouts. The elephant plays basketball and cricket too.
Now, 31-year-old, the elephant had come to the temple for five years. The elephant has been regularly trained by Mahout Firoz and Altaf.
