Mangaluru: Kukke Subrahmanya Temple holds the reputation of being the richest temple in the state. Kukke Subrahmanya temple earned revenue of Rs 123 crore. It has got No.1 position in the state by earning revenue.
From April 2022 to March 31, 2023, the temple has earned Rs 123 crores. The temple receives income not only from harake service and donation but also from interest, rent of huts, rent of buildings and agricultural plantation.
Due to restrictions on the entry of devotees in the backdrop of Corona pandemic, only Rs. 72,73,23,758 revenue was earned in the year 2021-22. Kukke has been recognized as the richest deity in the state since 2007 by earning the highest revenue.
