Mangaluru: The Moodabidri Police on Thursday March 30 arrested a youth for allegedly harassing an elderly man for unnatural sex when he came to serve as a home nurse.
Shivananda, a 19-year-old youth from Gadag, had been taking care of the 68-year-old man, a resident of HUDCO Colony near Kodangallu, as a home nurse for sometime. The elderly man was treated at the hospital as he had been drowsy for a few days. Suspecting why the elderly man was falling ill repeatedly, the family installed a CCTV camera in the room without the youth’s knowledge, in which the young man was seen beating up the elderly man and forcing him to have unnatural sex.
The children of the elderly lodged a complaint with the Moodabidri Police about the home nurse Shivananda and the police immediately arrested the youth.
Police said the youth had come as a home nurse.
