Mangaluru: DSS Ambedkarwada Taluk Convener Nemiraj Killur and State Organising Convener Chandu L. said that it is condemnable that Rohit Chakratirtha, a controversial person who insulted philosophers including the Architecture of the Constitution Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, has been invited. They said if he comes irrespective of their Opposition, the Dalit Sangharsha Samiti Ambedkarite organisation will show a black list and launch a “go back” campaign.
They were speaking at a session held at Belthangady Journalists’ Association auditorium. “It is not right to invite Rohit Chakratirtha to the Brahmakalashotsava of Mahalingeshwara Temple in Venoor, the Former Head of the Book Revision Committee, who removed Brahmashri Narayana Guru’s text from the Class X textbook and also the same person is invited to deliver a lecture on the subject of “Education and Dharma”. This is opposed by our organisation, they noted.
“If the situation does not improve, we will expose the true colours of the Sangh Parivar through massive protests at the Taluk and District levels in the coming days,” they added.
