Mangaluru: No cleanliness, DC raids shops near Panambur Beach

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner on Sunday January 1 conducted surprise raids on stores bear Panambur Beach and expressed serious concerns regarding cleanliness and sanitary practices.

The beach cleaning initiative organised by the Journalists Association and the District Administration under the banner of ‘Brand Mangaluru’ was inaugurated on Sunday by DC.

He conducted shop raids near the beach and closed down a few stores due to poor hygiene and unhygienic kitchen conditions.

Following this, he gave instructions to the officials of the concerned department to visit all the food shops nearby and take the necessary action.
