Mangaluru: “I am not communal, I don’t hate anyone. For me, all religions are the same. If I get the vote of the patriots, it’s more thsn enough for me, said Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Y. Bharath Shetty.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said “Former MLA who had earlier given Rs. 15 Lakh from the Government to the family of a youth from Krishnapura, who was shot dead by the police while he was engaged in cow smuggling, is now pretending to go to a Hindu’s house and wipe away their tears. There is no question of accepting cow slaughter and love jihad. There is no question of giving up the party’s ideology along with development, he asserted.

“Rs 8 lakh each will be given for 245 booths. I have distributed the grant as well. Thus, a total of Rs 2,000 Crore has been allocated. I have brought in funds and ensured that the work is done properly,” he said.

“A sum of Rs 3.47 Crore has been allocated for the development of Surathkal East Second Ward of Mangaluru North Assembly Constituency, he said and further added, “I am not afraid of getting threat calls. While working for the welfare of society, we antagonise some people. It’s normal to get a threat call. I will never compromise on two issues, Hindutva and development.”
