Mangaluru: The Lokayukta police’s Mangaluru division raided the Karnataka Pollution Control Board office premises in Baikampady.
The raids were conducted in response to complaints from the public that officials were accepting bribes in return for issuing licences and permits, as well as in response to mistakes in matters relating to pollution control measures and examinations.
According to sources, the Lokayukta police will continue their raids on Wednesday December 14 and examine the files and records kept in the Pollution Control Board’s office.
