Mangaluru: The BJP’s Pragati Rath Yatra, which will travel across the District to inform the people of Dakshina Kannada District about the pro-people schemes of the Centre and State Government, was flagged off at Kadri Grounds on the morning of Monday February 27. District BJP President Sudarshan Moodbidri flagged off the Pragati Rath Yatra.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Pragati Rath led by District BJP Yuva Morcha President Gurudatta Nayak, will travel to every booth in each of the villages of the eight Assembly constituencies in the District. The chariot will travel across the District till the elections are announced, he said.
“The Government’s achievement will be conveyed to people’s homes and minds. In addition to this, knowing the pulse of the people, an opinion on what should be included in the BJP’s election manifesto will be sought from the people,” he added.
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath said that during the Pragati Rath Yatra, not only the double-engine Government’s achievements will be conveyed to the people, but also the suggestions from the people will be gathered at each booth.
“The State President of the party will be asked to include it in the manifesto,” he said and added that the BJP’s election manifesto is not something that only four to five people of the party will sit and make, therein people’s opinions will be given priority.
