Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a woman lost her life after a raft overturned on the Kumaradhara River at Yenitadka here on Sunday January 22.
The deceased has been identified as Geetha (46), wife of Balappa Naik of Yenitadka.
Woman was crossing the Kumaradhara River on a raft with cattle fodder when the incident occurred. Two other women on the raft managed to swim ashore despite raft overturning due to strong gust of wind. The deceased’s body was found downstream later.
Kadaba Police visited the accident spot. A case has been filed in this regard.
