Mangaluru: Retired teacher found dead in Payaswini River

Managluru: A man who had gone for a bath was found dead on April 30 in Arambur near Sullia.

The deceased person has been identified as retired teacher Dinesh K. (65) a resident of Arambur Majigundi.

He had gone to the Payaswini River to take a bath in the morning but did not return home after a long time. In the evening, his dead body was found floating in the River at Majigundi and local panchayat members Ratishan and Sudesh informed the Sullia Police.

Later in the presence of the Sullia Police, the disaster management unit and the locals went down to the River and lifted the body.

It is learnt that the deceased was mentally unwell for the past few days. Dinesh was a teacher in Adkar, Arambur, and Aranthodu Primary School. He had retired in 2020.
