Mangaluru: Search launched to trace labourer from Kerala

Mangaluru: A labourer, who was washed away after falling into a stream while crossing it, at Koornadka in Aletti village, has gone missing on the evening of July 6. Though the search operation began on Friday morning, there was no trace of the worker.

Around 15-20 people from the SDRF and the fire brigade arrived and launched a search using a machine boat. Local divers arrived and took a dip in the water and searched for it. Assistant Commissioner Girish Nandan Kumar visited the spot.

Sullia Tahsildar Manjunath, Revenue Inspector Koragappa Hegde, Sub-Inspector Eraiah Doonthuru, Revenue Department’s Narayana local officials and elected representatives were present. Hundreds of people had gathered since morning.

It is learnt that friday’s search operation was continued till evening and the search operation was carried out today but no results found yet.
