Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Superintendent of Police Hrishikesh Bhagwan Sonawane has been transferred to the Intelligence Bureau.
Amate Vikram of the Intelligence Bureau has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police.
Hrishikesh, a 2015-batch IPS officer, had taken over as DK SP in April 2021.
Having played a key role in the successful management and maintenance of communal harmony during the Covid – 19 pandemic, he was able to crack the highly challenged cases, including the Praveen Nettaru murder case.
