Mangaluru: “We will release a special manifesto for Coastal Karnataka said Dr. G Parameshwar.

Speaking at the press meet held at the Congress Office in the City, G. Parameshwar said, “We have collected the opinions of many groups. There are elections in a few days and now we are collecting their opinions in this regard, he noted.

“Over the last three months, we have collected feedback from various groups along with organisations. In Mangaluru and other parts of Dakshina Kannada Districts, there is no harmony among the communities,” he noted.

“The BJP has disturbed the harmony in the Coastal areas in various ways, including moral policing, and therefore, students from outside are now reluctant to come to educational institutions here,” he observed and added that this has hindered the growth of industries. The issue of communal harmony is also at our disposal. I will not give tickets to those who are in doubt of undergoing Operation Kamala, he stressed.

“There is a perception in the country that Rahul Gandhi’s personality has changed due to Bharat Jodo yatra. But that is an opinion. Even the BJP Government has not given scholarships to the children. The Government has spent the money earmarked for SC/STs in the State in the Budget elsewhere, he alleged.

“We will form the Government this time by winning 122 seats. It is believed that the same thing will be true if it is said in Mangaluru.

Congress Leaders Madhu Bangarappa, U. T. Khader, Manjunath Bhandary, Harish Kumar, and Ivan D’Souza were present.
