Mangaluru: Step-daughter sexually harassed, father held

Mangaluru: A man has been arrested for sexually harassing his step-daughter and impregnenting her in Bantwal Taluk of the District.

The accused has been identified as Venkatesha Karantha, a resident of Ramanivas in Thumbay. Venkatesha is a priest by profession. It is said that he was sexually harassing his minor step-daughter since last four months.

Mother of victim married accused Venkatesha for the second time, as her husband died in road accident. A complaint was filed as it came to light that the step-daughter is pregnant.

Bantwal Police has registered a case and is investigating further.
