Mangaluru: National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Regional Officer M. K. Vatare has assured that the Surathkal Toll Gate issue will be resolved permanently over the next 12 to 15 days.
He was addressing mediapersons at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Thursday October 13. “The NHAI has taken all necessary steps to fix the issue regarding the Surathkal Toll Gate. It will be resolved in another 15 days,” he said.
“If any accident occurs owing to potholes from NIT – K Surathkal to Nanthoor, concerned contractors would be booked and thrown behind bars,” warned Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V.
NHAI’s Director of Project Implementation, Lingegowda, said, “The potholes will be filled in about another week. We will discuss the same with the Commissioner of the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) and get the work done quickly, he said.
The pothole repair work from Surathkal to NIT – K Junction is to be finished in seven days, he directed.
