Mangaluru: In a tragici incident, three labourers were trapped under the mud after a hillock collapsed while they were working at Gandhinagar in Sullia Town on Saturday March 25.
A hillock collapsed and fell on the labourers while they were working as a sentry on Gandhinagar Aletti Road. It is learnt that the incident took place when a huge hillock was behind the house of one Aboobakar and work was going on to build a pillar near it.
Rescue operations are underway for two more labourers who are currently trapped under the mud and the work of clearing the soil from the JCB is underway.
Those trapped under the mud have been identified as labourers from North India and firefighters and Police have arrived at the spot.
