Mangaluru: It was the BJP that stopped the goonda rule of the Congress party in Puttur, said Former chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda. He said that the voters will not allow the Congress to win here again and establish a goonda empire.
Addressing a press conference here, he said, “People know what was the condition of Puttur before 1994 during the Congress regime. Now the Congress’s dream of creating a similar atmosphere seems to have been shattered. But the BJP has the power to stop it,” he said.
“The BJP is sure to win 131 seats in the state this time. Over 3.5 lakh people have already attended Modi’s rally in Bengaluru. Modi will come back to the state and cover a distance of 32 km to campaign.
In Puttur, self-styled Hindu leader Arun Puthila, an independent candidate, and the Congress party have entered into an understanding,” he said.
