Mangaluru: Preparations are in full swing to welcome Mata Amritanandamayi for a two-day special programme Amrita Sangam Brahmasthanam Mahotsava -2018 at Boloor in the city between February 20 and 21.
Discourse by the spiritual leader, meditation, Bhajans and blessings through divine hugging will form part of the programme. Amma also known as “Hugging Saint” is likely to embrace her disciplines and devotees during her stay and bless them.
The office bearers of the local Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samiti are making necessary arrangements for a large number of people who are expected to throng the venue during the two-days.
“The Samiti would distribute tokens to the devotees at the venue to facilitate them obtain darshan of Mata Amritanandamayi. The darshan programme starts at 9 AM and those arriving well in advance will be given the time cards for darshan. Those taking part in the political discourse (Satsang) will be given tokens at their seating place”, said Brahmacharini Anjali giving guidelines to the Samiti members during the meeting on the measures to be taken for the 2-day event.
Renowned businessman in fish trade Mohan Bengre and Sabitha Mohan took part in the prayers.
Seva Samiti President Prasadraj Kanchan, Honorary President Dr. Jeevaraj Sorake, Vaman Kamath, Secretary Suresh Amin, office bearers of the committee and devotees from Dakshsina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod were present.
