Milagres College organizes ‘Navarang 2019’ and ‘Excelso 2019’ fests for students

Mangaluru: The department of B.Sc. HS organized a one-day national level intercollegiate fest for PUC students, ‘Navarang 2019’; simultaneously, the department of Commerce organized a national level UG intercollegiate commerce, literary & cultural fest ‘Excelso 2019-20’ on September 6, 2019, in the college. 

The formal program began with evoking god’s blessing. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. John Errol Samuel, Proprietor Aquamater, water solutions. Guest of Honour, Mr. Pranav Hedge, Proprietor car Décor, Guest Mr. Philip Dsouza, Proprietor Prince caterers. President Rev Fr Joseph Lobo, Correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions, other dignitaries on the dais were Rev Fr Michael Santhumayor Principal Milagres College, Mrs. Cecelia Pereira, Vice President of Milagres Pastoral Parishad, Ms. Laveena Lobo,  oral PCA President, Milagres College. Mr. Denzil Dcosta Navarang staff convener, Mrs. Chethana, Excelso staff coordinator, Ms. Ivin Dsouza, President of Milagres College and Mr. Riyaz, Student Coordinator.

The dignitaries on the dais inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Rev Fr Michael Santhumayor Principal welcomed and introduced the dignitaries on and off the Dias. The Chief Guest Mr. John Errol Samuel in his speech asked the students to work hard to achieve success and by working hard one can achieve their dreams.

Guest of Honour Mr Pranav Hedge congratulated the team for organizing the event. and appreciated the various teams of different colleges for being a part of the event President Rev Fr Joseph Lobo, Correspondent in his presidential speech said that success comes to those who have desire and determination.

Mr. Alwyn Rosario, well-wisher Milagres College was facilitated and honored for donating 4500 books to Milagres College Library.
The formal program concluded by proposing the vote of thanks by Ms. Ivin Dsouza, president of Milagres College. The program was compered by Ms. Caren from I yr FND.

The Chief Guest for Valedictory program was Rev Fr Rupesh Madtha, Director YCM &YSM. Other dignitaries on the dais were Rev Fr Michael Santhumayor, Principal Milagres College, Dr. Lourdusamy, Academic Advisor, Ms. Ashwitha Navarang staff Coordinator, Mrs. Glencia Excelso staff Coordinator, Mr. Ian Vice President of, Ms. Suriya student coordinator and Ms. Mahima Ruhi of II B.sc HS.

Ms Eva Manorama introduced and welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest Rev Fr Rupesh Madtha in his speech congratulated the college and the team for organizing the event and asked the students to take all negativity as encouragement for success.
Students from various colleges gave their feedback on the events.

38 Colleges participated in Navarang 2019, a national-level intercollegiate fest for PUC students and 30 colleges participated in Excelso 2019-20 national level UG intercollegiate commerce, literary & cultural fest.

Padva College, Mangalore won the overall championship and St Aloysius College, Mangalore were the runners up for Navarang 2019.
St Aloysius College, Mangalore won the overall championship and St Philomena’s College, Putur were the runners up for Excelso 2019-20.

The Valedictory program was compered by Ms. Vinitha, II Bsc HS and vote of thanks for the valedictory program was proposed by Ms. Mahima Ruhi of II B.Sc FND.
