Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary flags off mobile swab collection vehicle in M’luru

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary inaugurated Covid-19 mobile swab collection vehicle on Sunday, May 3.

Nirmithi Kendra has donated this mobile swab collection setup (vehicle) to the district administration. The cost of the vehicle is around Rs 4.5 lakh. It has all the important equipment for collecting the throat swabs from the public.

The vehicle has the seating capacity of five people, who can easily collect throat swabs even without the PPE kit.

In order to communicate with the patients, intercom facility is also in place.

Information about Covid-19 has been painted on the body of the vehicle to spread awareness among the public.

One more sample collection vehicle was donated by the BJP on Sunday, through MLA Bharath Shetty.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs Dr Y Bharath Shetty, D Vedavyas Kamath, Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, ADC Roopa M J and others were present.
