Mangaluru: The pristine locales of Ullal is going to boast of an ultramodern hospital in the form of Saroj Multi-Specialty Hospital, which is all set to be launched on August 28, at 6 pm.

The new hospital will be inaugurated by District in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai while Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and local MLA U T Khader will be the chief guest.

Speaking about the new hospital, Dr Gajanan Prabhu, Hospital Medical Director and Managing Partner said that Saroj Hospital has been launched with a motto of ‘Comfort, Care and Cure’ and the spacious state-of-the-art 100 bedded hospital is going to be a blessing for the people of Ullal and nearby areas.

As per Dr Prabhu, the hospital offers choice of general ward, semi-deluxe and deluxe rooms, full-fledged Out-Patient Department, specialist consultation on appointment, 24×7 Emergency care with dedicated Ambulance Facility, two fully equipped Operation Theatres with bio-clad surface for ultimate anti-microbial protection, state-of-the-art critical care with high-tech life support facilities, new concept of high dependency unit (HDU), Neonatal ICU, pediatric critical care facilities, comfy-dialysis unit and labour theatre.

Dr Prabhu opined that apart from the high-tech medical care that is on offing for the people, what truly adds to the hospitals advantage is its location.

“The hospital stands tall overlooking the serene beach of Ullal and this sight in itself offers a soothing effect. The beautiful locale has been seamlessly blended by the Hospital management with rejuvenation and rehabilitation programmes like panchakarma and physiotherapy, which no other hospital in the region has been able to offer,” he said.

It may be recalled that the a medical care centre was being run in the same premises by Syed Madani Trust and the operations was wound up by the trust for some reason. However, Dr Prabhu took the onus of offering advanced medical care to the people of the region and thus breathed life into the premises by conceptualising and bringing into existence Saroj Multi Specialty Hospital.

Ullal, which is a growing town, is located about 8-10 kms south of Mangalore City and close to Karnataka-Kerala border. As the people of Northern Kerala depend on Karnataka for High end health care, a heavy inflow of patients ensues to Mangalore- Manipal region. With its location close to the state border, Saraj Multi Specialty Hospital will be ideal and convenient health care destination for the patients, said Hospital Media advisor Bhasker Aras.

The hospital is easily reachable from the national highway and it is readily accessible through public transport too. The hospital has well planned three way entry/ exit to accommodate heavy inflow of patients.
