Minister Ramanath Rai’s older brother passes away

Bantwal: In a rather sad turn of events, six-time MLA of Bantwal and district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai lost his older brother Dr. B Satish Rai on Wednesday, May 2.

A medical practitioner, based in Mysuru Dr. B Satish Rai was undergoing treatment at Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital in Bengaluru after he suffered a cardiac arrest few days back.

Humble by nature, Dr. B Satish Rai was quite popular among people. Morover, in case of poor patients he would offer free treatment.

Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy President A C Bhandary expressed his condolences at the demise of Dr. Rai. A true ambassador of culture of Tulunadu, Dr. Rai has to his credit several literary works in Tulu and Kannada languages, said Bhandary in a press release.
