Ullal: A mischief-monger from Ullal area became police’s guest after he was nabbed by the locals for pelting stone at a local bus. The unruly act of the youth injured a traveler in the bus.
It is said that accused Hafeez, a resident of Millatnagar here boarded the bus at State Bank and remained at the foot board. When the bus conductor asked him to come inside the bus and be seated, an irked Hafeez resorted to hurling abuses at the conductor all the way from Mangaluru to Thokkottu. After getting down at Thokkottu, the youth hurled a stone at the bus. The stone hit a passenger seated on the last seat of the bus.
When the locals nabbed Hafeez, he started justifying his act. His attempts to flee was foiled and he was handed over to the police.
