Mangaluru: Unidentified miscreants attacked a man near Alake in Kudroli here on September 29 and the motive is not yet clear.
The victim is identified as Shakib Salim Umri. Later, he was been admitted to Wenlock Hospital in the city.
While Shakib Salim was returning from Tipu Sultan Salafi Mosque during late night, miscreants who came in an Omni Car attacked Shakib near a medical shop in Alake. After assaulting Shakib mercilessly, they fled the spot.
According to reliable sources, assault follows an internal conflict.
