Belthangady: The dead body of a teenaged boy, who went missing from his home in Bengaluru, was recovered from a lake at Guruvayankere in Belthangady.
Yashwanth Sai K P , a ninth standard student of ITI Vidya Mandir at Telecom City and son of NV Prem Kumar from Muniswamy Shetty Layout in Bengaluru had gone missing couple of days ago.
It was on Wednesday evening that his school bag, shoes, identity card and other belongings were found near a lake in Guruvayankere leaving behind suspicion that the boy may have drowned. Fire fighters and divers were immediately pressed into action and search operations were initiated. In the belonging, ticket from Bengaluru to Dharmasthala too was found.
It is said that Yashwanth Sai was not a bright student and this has created a tense atmosphere at home. However, he was very passionate about Karate.
