Kasargod: A CPM party worker who went missing five days ago was found dead on Wednesday at Bedadka area.
The deceased is K Balakrishnan (48) from Payam near Bedadka and he had gone missing on February 10. His mobile phone was switched off and when all efforts to locate him failed, his family reached Bedadka police.
However, the police investigation led them to the remote Manimoole-Kannadithodu reserve forest area, where Balakrishnan was found dead hanging from a tree.
The dead body has been forwarded to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
