Moodbidri: A 28-year-old youth who went missing under mysterious circumstances was found dead in Maravooru Dam, here on August 18.
The deceased is Sudarshan Jain, son of Rathnakar Kadamba of Hosabettu Village.
Sudarshan Jain was employed in a garment retail store in Moodbidri. On August 11 night, Sudarshan and his brother Sudhir left Moodbidri for their residence on a bike.
Reportedly, when the duo reached near their residence. Sudhir’s friend Sandeep along with two others were waiting for them in a car. It is alleged that Sudhir’s friend and two others abducted Sudarshan murdered him with a lethal weapon and threw his body into Puchemogar River. The mortal remains were found in Maravoor Dam on Friday.
After selling a property, Sudarshan and Sudhir both had shared the money among themselves. However, Sudhir was insisting on more money from Sudarshan. It is suspected that this dispute among brothers might have ended up in Sudarshan’s murder.
