Uppinangady: The Janata Dal (S)-Congress coalition candidate Mithun Rai conducted a road show in Uppinangady town seeking support from the public on Tuesday, April 16.
As Tuesday was the last day for poll campaigning and to holding public meeting, the Congress leaders had planned to meet a maximum number of voters before 6 PM.
Prior to holding roadshow, Mithun Rai and the leaders who accompanied him visited the Sahasralingeshwara temple in Uppinangady and offered a pooja. Later, they went to Lakshmi Venkatramana temple, Malikdinar Juma Masjid, Kanya Matha Church in Uppinangady and Nekkilady Umarul Farooq Juma Masjid and offered prayers.
The poll campaign was also held at Bajathur, Perne, Manjalpadpu, Kambalabettu, Punacha, Panaje and other surrounding areas.
Uppinagady Block Congress President Muralidhar Rai and other leaders Devadas Rai, U K Ibrahim, Manikyaraj, Geetha Dasaramoole, Nazeer Mata, Ashraf Basthikar and U T Thousif among others were present.
