Mangaluru: “Mangaluru Dasara is a people’s festival which is being celebrated on behalf of the Government,” said State BJP Chief and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking here at Kudroli Kshetra on Thursday October 7 after launching the Mangaluru Dasara festival he said, “Mangaluru City Corporation has taken the responsibility of decorating Rajabeedi. Mangaluru Dasara will be held in the same manner as Mysuru Dasara.”
As part of Navaratri festival, which will be held from today till October 16, the idols of Navadurga, Ganapati and Sharada are installed in Kudroli Kshetra. The installation of the idols at the Dussehra Darbaru Mantapa was conducted after the rituals were performed in the courtyard of the Kudrolli Kshetra.
