Mangaluru: District Administration in association with Bharat Seva Dal organised Gandhi Jayanti at Gandhi Park here on Saturday October 2.
Fisheries Minister S. Angara, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V., Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Akshy Shridhar, Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Bhagwan Sonawane, and Bharat Seva Dal District President Rahim Basheer among others garlanded the Gandhi statue to pay tribute to Father of the Nation on his birth anniversary. The celebration this year was simple and ceremonial owing to Pandemic times.
Other dignitaries and students from Balmatta School participated at the event.
