Mangaluru: The first digital display vehicle in the state was launched by District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai on Friday, January 6. The vehicle was given to the City Police Commissionerate in order to create awareness about crime prevention.
Speaking to the gathering at Police Commissioner’s office, Ramanath Rai said that the vehicle will go around the city to create awareness on crime prevention in various ways. A brochure on crime prevention was also released by Ramanath Rai on the occasion.
Police Commissioner M Chandrasekhar said, “For the following two months, this digital display vehicle will move around the city to for two hours every day. Over the years, several cases of various different crimes have been witnessed and the crimes are still being perpetrated on naïve citizens of Mangaluru. In order to stop this and educate the people, the digital display is launched in the city.”
