M’luru: Two from Mysuru drown at Panambur Beach

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, two men from Mysuru drowned at the Panambur Beach here on the morning of Monday May 30.

Diwakar Aradya (40) and Ningappa (65), both of Jayanagar in Mysuru, have been identified as the deceased.

According to sources, Diwakar Aradya ran a business named Aradya Food and Beverages in Mysuru. On May 27, he along with three factory workers arrived in Mangaluru to take part in the Halasina Mela (Jackfruit Mela) that was hosted in the city.

They went to Panambur Beach on May 30 to relax and unwind. However, while swimming around 7.30 pm, Diwakar and Ningappa were swept away by a wave and drowned.

A compliant has been registered at the Panambur Police Station.
