Mangaluru: All-India Congress Committee Secretary Saleem Ahamed on Sunday claimed that the UPA will return to power at the center in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in 2019.
Addressing a press meet here in DCC office, Saleem Ahamed said, “From past four years, the BJP in the center has given only assurances to the people but it has failed to fulfill the promises. People will teach a good lesson in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
“Narendra Modi has sold dreams to youth but he has failed to realize the dream,” he said adding that neither job creation nor black money challenge were taken up.
“Narendra Modi is only a good orator and a manager but not a performer.” he added.
Speaking on the Congress’s defeat in Karnataka assembly elections, Saleem Ahamed said that the Congress government in Karnataka had given good administration for last five years but due to the lack of publicity and false propaganda of the opposition parties, the Congress had lost the elections in the state.
He also said that Congress will get 18 -20 seats in upcoming parliamentary elections in the state.
The coalition government in the state will complete five years. The BJP’s dream of returning to power in the state will never be realised, he said.
