MP ensures arrival of youth’s mortal remains from Saudi after 81 days

Mysuru: Mortal remains of a youth from Mysuru, who died in Saudi Arabia, arrived in the city today after a period of 81 days.

Shabir, aged 27, a resident of Vidyaranyapuram in the town had left India for Saudi Arabia, 9 months ago. He died on March 25 there under mysterious circumstances.

With no money of their own, family members requested local MP Pratap Simha to assist them in bringing back the body as huge costs were involved.

MP Pratap Simha sought help from Central minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj to help the family in grief. After persistent efforts and coordination, the body finally arrived in Mysuru on June 15.
