Mangaluru: MP and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel paid a visit to Gurupur and inspected the ongoing construction of the new bridge on Friday, June 5.
He directed the contractor and workers to conduct specific tasks as much of the work has already been completed.
The bridge was built at a cost of Rs 39.42 crores. It is 175 meters in length and has seven piers measuring 25 metres each. The width of the bridge is 16 metres and the pedestrian path on either side of the road is three metres wide.
Mangaluru North MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty and other officials were present during the visit.
