Mangaluru: The much awaited Kannada film ‘Yaana’, produced under the banner of ‘ACME Movies International’ will be released throughout the state on July 12.
This film is being released in the Malayalam language also and it will be screened in 40 more theatres in Kerala. Director of the film Hareesh Sherigar told reporters here on Saturday, July 6 that it had a different storyline. As the story is pertaining to youth, it would attract the youth more, he opined.
The once popular onscreen pair Anantnag and Suhasini have acted together in this film after a long time. Another speciality of this film is, the three daughters of senior actors Jai Jagadish and Vijayalakshmi namely Vaibhavi, Vainidhi and Vaisiri have been introduced to the Sandalwood film industry, through this film.
Other artists like Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Chikkanna, Ramakrishna, Sundar Raj, Gaddappa, Sundar, Veena Sundar, M N Lakshmi Devi have played important roles in the film.
The film has six songs authored by different lyricists Jayanth Kaikini, Yogaraj Bhat, Hrudaya Shiva, Shashank and Chethan Kumar. All six songs have received a good response from the public before its release, informed Harish Sherigar.
Artistes Vaibhavi, Vainidhi, Vaisiri, Sumukha, Chakravarthi, Abhishek, Jai Jagadish, Vijayalakshmi Singh among others were present.
