Mangaluru: Kevin Misquith, who took the Konkani music world by storm at a very young age of 17, is back with yet another music album “Ek Geet”. The CD release programme in Mangaluru was held here on May 25 at St Ann’s Friary mini hall at Bejai.
Along with the music album, a poetry collection by renowned poet Melwyn Rodrigues, Devi Ninkasi was also released on the occasion.
After the release, audience had discussion with the poet and the musician which was unique.
The music album ‘Ek Geet’ was released by Kishoo Barkur, Wilson Kateel, lyricist, Kevin Misquith, his parents, Janet Canute Pinto and Stephen Frank, the music arranger.
The music album with 9 songs, is a treat to new generation of Konkani singers, composers & musicians. The lead singers in the album include Prajoth D’Sa, Munita Veigas, Ashish Pallana, Clement Fernades, Mohammed Iqbal, Eden D’Sa, Prakash Mahadevan and Kevin Misquith. The lyrics provided by Kishoo Barkur, Wilson Kateel, Sanjay Borkar and Kevin Misquith himself promises to enthrall the music lovers with a wide variety of songs.
The album has been already released in Muscat and Saudi Arabia and will be available in Mangaluru at regular outlets.. The album will be made available in different parts of the country & world subsequently.

‘Devi Ninkasi’, a collection of poetry was also released by Melvyn Rodrigues, his wife Averyl, poet and editor of ‘Arso’ fortnightly Henry M Pernal and Preethi, Janet Pinto of Evershine Publishers which has 40 poems and printed in both Devanagari and Kannada scripts.
The book ‘Devi Ninkasi’ is available for sale at Kittall.com office, Catholic Club building, Hampankatta, Jerosa Comapny, Milagres, Hampankatta and Favourite Collections, Bendorewell.
