Bantwal: A young Muslim cleric who went missing since Saturday night is now feared drowned.
Mohommed Afridi (23), cleric of a Mosque at Mugeru was crossing a river at Sangabettu in Bantwal taluk to reach Iruvail. It is believed that he must have accidentally slipped into the river.
The locals and fire fighters are searching for the body of the cleric in the river.
A case has been registered.
