Mangaluru: Dr MN Rajendra Kumar, president of SCDCC bank said that the NABARD Study team is on a visit to study corporative societies across undivided Dakshina Kannada district. The study team has made its visit to SCDCC bank here. “The team is headed by Karnataka state apex bank president Belli Prakash and they have already in hand the basic information with regard to the corporative societies and banks in Dk district,” he said.
He further said, “this is the first visit of NABARD team to study central corporative societies and banks here. He maintained that the undivided Dk districts corporative societies are a model for entire nation and the NABARD team will look into its total development and progress in terms of digitization, computerisation, and upgradation of banking services.
He also stressed that the SCDCC bank’s achievement of 100% agricultural loan recovery will also be studied.
Talking about the bank’s future plans, he said that the bank is looking at reaching Rs 5000 crore deposit, to lend Rs 2000 crore direct loan and setup ATMs in every taluk.
SCDCC has formed over 32,700 self-help societies, he added.
