Mangaluru: Promising youth leader Naveen R D’Souza who was elected corporator of Mangaluru City Corporation by majority votes for three consecutive terms and was the president of Mangaluru Corporation Tax and Finance Standing Committee, has been appointed as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Secretary with immediate effect.
The appointment is made by All India Congress Committee General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi on recommendation by KPCC President Dr. G Parameshwara and approved by Congress Party Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
Naveen R D’Souza, besides being a Councillor of Mangaluru City Corporation has served as Dakshina Kannada district youth Congress secretary, state youth Congress secretary and a member of Rahul Gandhi’s youth Congress task force and also shouldered the responsibility of youth congress membership drive in the states of Orissa, Punjab and Goa. He also served as AICC observer in Goa Assembly Elections held in the year 2017.
He was also a member in the committee of former Karnataka region Congress committee president Mallikarjun Kharge.
