Mangaluru: Mangaluru South Constituency’s newly elected MLA, D Vedavyas Kamath has directed the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner to initiate proper actions against the ‘unscientific’ and ‘defective’ water bills issued to the consumers in the city.
He issued this directive after having received several complaints regarding the water bills issued by the MCC, from the people.
“People showed their water bills to me and I noticed that there is a lot of difference between the present and past water bills. This problem is not faced by only one or two houses in the city but, by several people,” he added.
The MLA assured that he has spoken to the City Corporation Commissioner regarding this issue and asked him to take proper action against the issuing of defective and unscientific water bills to the people.
“The commissioner has assured me that he will resolve this issue,” he added.
The MLA also the promised college lecturers and education officers, of constituting a Staff Council Committee for the development of the Government Pre-University and Degree College.
