Mangaluru: Newly named ‘Blasius D’Souza Road’ stretching from Karavali circle at Bendoorwell to Canara Bank circle at Balmatta was inaugurated by Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday, July 16.
Kharge unveiled the signboard and inaugurated the road.
Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the event, Kharge was queried about the DySP Ganapathi suicide case. He said, “I don’t want to comment on the issue. The State government has given its statements. An investigation is ordered and the truth will roll out soon”.
MP Oscar Fernandes, Blossom Fernandes, MLC Ivan D’Souza, MLA J R Lobo, State Congress working president Dinesh Gundu Rao, Ministers Ramanath Rai, U T Khader and other Congress leaders were present.
