Mangaluru: A newly-wed couple has set an example of humanity, by collecting cash for the flood-affected victims of Kerala on their wedding day.
Jithesh Pakkala, a resident of Mukka tied the knot with Pratima, a resident of Gurpur on Sunday, August 19, at the Rajangana wedding hall of Kinnigoli.
As the couple was getting ready to participate in the rituals of the wedding, it initiated the process of collecting money for flood relief, after which the box was circulated throughout the wedding hall. The guest, relatives and well-wishers contributed as much as they could.
