Mangaluru: Anticipation is reaching a crescendo as the eagerly awaited 4th edition of the annual Christmas Carol Contest is set to kick off on December 15. The event, organized by News Karnataka, promises another dazzling display of diverse talent.
Esteemed judges for the Christmas Carols Program include Mr. Alister Lasrado, Ms. Jasmin D’souza, Mr. Jeevan Lobo.
Mr. Alister Lasrado, known for his role as the Managing Partner of JustRollFilms, has successfully trained numerous groups for singing competitions, resulting in multiple prize victories. He is also a Music Teacher at St. Aloysius Gonzaga School and the Band Manager of Band Decibels, impacting over 2000 students globally through both online and offline platforms.
Ms. Jasmin D’souza, a Singer and Music Teacher at Aloysius & Carmel School, also joins the panel. Mr. Jeevan Lobo, a musician and Choir Master of Konkani Choir Group of St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Abu Dhabi. Mr. Roshan Raj, an Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism is set to anchor the show.
To surpass previous successes, the upcoming edition is poised to feature around 50 entries, each contributing in its unique way to the festive spirit that the contest embodies.
Participants from diverse locations, including Anekal, Mangaluru, Harihar, Attavara, Dharwad, Odisha, and as far-reaching as Tel Aviv, Israel, will converge virtually to share their passion for music and the Christmas season. This geographical diversity not only underscores the global reach of the contest but also highlights its inclusive nature, bridging borders and uniting communities through the universal language of music.
