The Bench has posted an application filed by Kishore Kumar to March 31, K N Somashekar’s application to April 24 and Purushotham Chittapur’s petition to April 27, for hearing.

The petitioners opposing the project, which is coming up in Sakeshpur taluk in Hassan district, raised different issues before the Principal Bench of the NGT, including allegation of violation of environment and forests rules, cutting of a large number of trees in project area.

In the absence of NGT chairman Swatanter Kumar, its judicial member Jawad Rahim headed bench and decided to hear the petitions separately and also sought the reply from the different government agencies for all issues raised by applicants.
