Mangaluru: National Institute for Personnel Management in association with the Indian Society for Training and Development organized a workshop on the topic ‘Challenging Times at Work and HR Preparedness’ on 1 July at ICI Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Kamath Kumbla, GM – HR, Global Strategic Hiring & Redeployment defined the present challenges in terms of culture and corporate and stressed the need to adapt to the changes that the contemporary world with its Artificial Intelligence would demand of us.
He threw light on the emerging markets and emphasized the necessity to master multi-lingual skills. He concluded with the message that despite the stumbling blocks one might experience at work because of challenging times, one could overcome these tests with energy, will, commitment and driving force.
P P Shetty, Site Director – BASF, Mangalore Works (Retired) moderated the session with precision and rich inputs of his observations on the world scenario, and the tools to be adopted for greater management of the trials.
Steevan Pinto, Chairman, NIPM welcomed the gathering and CA M N Pai, Chairman, ISTD proposed the vote of thanks.
Dr Malini Hebbar, Secretary, ISTD was the Master of Ceremonies and Dr Devi Prabha Alva conducted an Ice Breaker. Asha Albuquerque Pai, Pruthvi, P A Jose and Shekar Poojari were the role takers for the evening.
