Mangaluru: Niraj Chandra Pal has been appointed as the general secretary of Dakshina Kannada district Congress recently.
On recommendation by District In-charge Minister Ramanath Rai and Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo, Dakshina Kannada district Congress President Harish Kumar appointed Niraj Chandrapal.
Son of Late M Bhaskar Pal, a senior Congressman and former municipal councillor, Niraj Chandrapal has also served as the president of Congress Kisan wing of Mangaluru city block. He has also held several top positions in the Bengaluru trade union and co-ordinating committees of INTUC.
