Mangaluru: Niral Joyson Vaz, presently working as Senior Branch Manager at Bank of Baroda’s Vamanjoor Branch got elected as General Secretary of Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association Mangalore Zone, which is affiliated to Federation of Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association (R) (FBOBOA) and All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (R) (AIBOC) in the emergent EC meeting of zonal committee meeting held at Hotel Maya International here, recently.
Speaking to News Karnataka Niral said, “I completed Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB) and I am now a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), which is a title procured after joining Bank of Baroda. Right now, I am the senior bank manager of Bank of Baroda, Vamanjoor. I have previously worked as the regional secretary and regional chairman of Head office of Vijaya bank in Bengaluru. I have already worked in Hyderabad, Nagpur, Chhattisgarh and since 2017 I am in Mangaluru.”
He went on to say that it was in 2019 after both the banks got amalgamated, he started working in Bank of Baroda.
Bank of Baroda has 18 zones spread across India and Mangaluru is one zone which consists of seven regions. From Kalaburagi, Hubli, Udupi to Mangaluru city and Mangaluru district.
“My aim is to fight for the right of our association and we will not let our members’ interest go down,” he added.
