Mangaluru: To spread the cheer and warmth of Christmas celebration, Hotel Ocean Pearl organised a cake mixing ceremony on Sunday, November 18.
A total of 150 kgs of dry fruits, nuts among other ingredients were mixed with wine. Almost all dry fruits including walnuts, almonds, cashew nuts, pistas, dates, yellow, dry and black raisins, apricot, figs, dry ginger chips, orange peel etc were used for the mix.
Ocean Pearl vice president B N Girish informed that it is best to do the cake mixing at least two months before Christmas so that all the flavors, aroma and textures get adequate time to soak the flavours. “Around 225 kgs of plum cake would be prepared from this mix. The Hotel would be decorated much ahead of Christmas and the cake will be distributed to the guests. Our intention is to spread the happiness of fest to all“, he informed.
Coast Guard Commander S S Dasila, Ideal Ice Cream Parlor proprietor Mukund Kamath among others were present.
