Mangalore: The Ministry of Shipping appointed P C Parida as the Chairman of New Mangalore Port, recently.
P C Parida took charge as the chairman on March 15, 2014. He completed his graduation in law and commerce as well as worked as deputy chairman in Chennai Port and Mormugao Port.
He was associated with many projects like privatization of coal terminal at Mormugao Port, Privatization of first Container Terminal at V.O. Chidambaranar Port. He also worked for the merger of Cargo Handling Pool at Tuticorin with VOC Port and Chennai dock labour board with Chennai Port.
As a Chairman of New Mangalore Port P C Parida, has various plans to develop the Port.
